The Idiot – Fyodor Dostoevsky

The Idiot is a novel by 19th century Russian author Fyodor Dostoevsky. It is about a man who is as the author imagined Jesus to be. He can, for example, walk into a room full of strangers and immediately knows what’s going on with each person. But he is a little too nice for the world – people can steal from him and he doesn’t fight back.
A woman falls in love with him but takes a villain because the hero is too good for her.
So if in a reflective moment you come to the conclusion that you are an idiot, you can remember that Dostoevsky named a novel after this kind of person and that the title character is actually a hero.
