Review: Corpse Bride (2005) by Tim Burton

Robin saw the puppet animated film Corpse Bride by Tim Burton from 2005 with the voices of Johnny Depp as Victor and Helena Bonham Carter as Emily the corpse bride.

The story is based on a 19th century Russian-Jewish folktale of the same name. Emily needs to find someone to marry to redeem her. Robin thinks the film is a masterpiece: “Very good humour and a great storyline. This Emily is a tragic figure.”

Robin also liked a couple of songs (written by Danny Elfman and John August), like Remains Of The Day featuring lead vocals by Elfman himself:

But he also thinks Tears To Shed is very pretty:
