Candle in the Rain

 

Another endless day has passed,

Another sleepless night begins.

Another battle that will last

Until the light of day sets in.

You’re counting sheep, your only friends,

While you are wide awake in bed

Another night you have to stand

While dark forebordings bust your head.

 

Kind of lost, the torture never stops.

It is just like a nightmare without waking up.

A million tons they lie upon your chest

And so you rest in pain.

An everythging’s in vain.

 

Like a candle in the rain.

Or anything else that is vain.

 

Alarm clock’s ticking fills the room

But time is standing still for you.

The things you thought you left behind

Here to penetrate your mind.

Each second’s an eternity.

Your restless with anxiety.

Shrouded in the dead of night

You’re waiting for the morning light.

 

Kind of locked, the nightmare never ends.

Trapped in a dark abyss from which you can’t ascend.

A million tons they rest upon your chest

And so you lie in pain.

An everythging’s in vain.
