In a fit of nostalgia, Robin watched on Netflix the 1985 fun horror film Fright Night, directed by Tom Holland,

Storyline:

The hero Charley Brewster (William Ragsdale) gets a vampire (Chris Sarandon) as a neighbor. No one believes him, but he does not give up the fight.
As assistants he finds two of his classmates Amy (Amanda Beerse) and Ed (Stephen Geoffrays), as well as horror movie presenter Peter Vincent (Roddy McDowall), who is going out of fashion and desperately needs money.

Robin’s Thoughts:

Robin found the part where the vampire persuades Ed to become a vampire as well, since he is just a beaten up outsider, deep and psychologically very understandable. “Amanda Beerse looks quite hot as a vampiress, Chris Sarandon is pretty convincing as the vampire, and Roddy McDowall as Peter Vincent is priceless!”

Verdict:

A masterpiece.
