Live Review: Hell Boulevard + Johnny Deathshadow! Read what the evening was like!Posted in - Robin's Reviews
Robin went to a club gig of goth rockers Hell Boulevard from Switzerland with Johny Deathshadow from Hamburg as their support act.
The band from Hamburg opened the evening with make up and a stage performance of singer Jonathan Schneider reminiscent to Gerard Way from MCR during Black Parade times.
Like during the main act backing vocals and keyboards were pre-recorded.
The overall stage performance was entertaining but Robin thinks the singer should sing more and scream less.
Then came Hell Boulevard. The music was actually pop music with a darker attitude.
Not bad but musically a little too mainstream-like and forseeable for Robin’s taste. However, the audience seemed to like it and sang along to many songs.
