Robin saw the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island – and loved it.

The whole plot takes place on Kong’s home island. There are a lot of huge monsters, which Kong shows who is the king here. He also gives military helicopters a lesson. The film is in a way a prequel: the heroes leave the island at the end and won’t tell anyone anything about the island or what has happened there.
The islanders worship Kong as a god, since he protects them from the other monsters.
He walks upright – that you can’t see his genitals is normal for gorillas:

One of the best action films in a long time.
