1408 is a short story by Stephen King from 1999 about a hotel room that is haunted. This is about the 2007 film adaptation.
The hero writes books about haunted places and is looking for a new one to write about. He doesn’t believe in ghosts anyway, so after a tough struggle and a lot of dissuasion, he finally gets room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel. After a short time things get quite scary and nightmarish there.
“Like many short stories stretched to feature length, the film has some lengths. However: after a very tough first half-hour, it does become fun.”
Good, but a bit too long especially at the beginning.
